The Welch CRVpro series direct drive rotary vane pumps offer superior reliability, long service life and can handle a variety of low vacuum needs. The Welch CRVpro series pumps are factory prepared with oil cases coated with PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) commonly know as Teflon®. The outer surface of the pumping module also has a black oxide surface. Both coatings act to slow down metal corrosion.
The CRV series have the unique feature of a much larger oil capacity than pumps of similar size. The CRVpro 8 pumps have a 1000ml capacity, compared to the 700ml capacity of an Edwards RV-3. With a larger oil reservoir, these CRVpro series pumps have a greater ability to dilute aggressive chemicals, ensuring a longer service life for the pump. These pumps also run 10°C cooler than similar pumps from having a chemically resistant coating in the oil case and on the pump module, further protecting them from corrosion.
These Welch CRVpro 8 pumps are offered in 115V, 60Hz & 230V, 60Hz operation models. The CRVpro 8 can achieve an ultimate pressure of 5x10ˉ⁴ Mbar (4x10ˉ⁴ Torr) with a 5.6 CFM and has KF 16 inlet and exhaust flanges. This pump comes with a quart of Welch DirecTorr Hydrocarbon Oil.
The CRVpro series have accessories available to adapt to a variety of applications, including use with refrigeration, dehydration, brake line evacuation, epoxy degassing, sterilization, mass spectrometry, vacuum ovens, lasers, backing combinations, thin film coating, vacuum distillation, freeze drying, space research and other vacuum processes.
