These Edwards E2M40 direct drive rotary vane pumps are inherently compact and vibration free with an ultimate pressure of 7.7x10-4 Torr and a pumping speed of 25.9 CFM at 60 Hz. These Edwards E2M40 vacuum pump offers a finger-proof coupling housing and totally enclosed fan-cooled motors, which provide excellent operator protection. The Edwards E2M40's give the best combination of performance, reliability, and cost in their class.
The Edwards E2M40 dual stage rotary vane mechanical vacuum pumps have an advanced oil lubrication circuit and are very reliable with accessories to match any application. Applications include use with refrigeration dehydration, brake line evacuation, thin film coating, vacuum distillation, freeze drying, space simulation and other chemical processes. E2M40/E2M80 pumps manufactured after September 1st will be supplied with oil pre-filled to optimize the production process and reduce carbon footprint. Oil will be visible in the oil sight glass on pumps supplied with pre-filled oil. This change has no impact on product performance and eliminates the need for you or your customers to fill oil before commissioning.
E2M40/E2M80 pumps configured for PFPE oil are not affected by this change and will continue to be supplied without oil. PFPE oil must be ordered separately as usual.
