These post holders are designed for highly stable post mounting. They are made with anodized aluminum and utilize a thumbscrew to hold the posts in place. The thumbscrew has a spring loaded tip which, when partially depressed, holds the post in gently in place but stills allows it to be moved and rotated by hand. When the thumbscrew is fully engaged it provides a strong and secure hold. The thumbscrew can be further tightened using a 3/16" hex key (Allen wrench). The holder base is tapped with a 1/4”-20 hole on the bottom for direct attachment to an optical table or breadboard or for mounting on one of our 1/4-20" tapped pedestal posts with a
set screw.
