Swagelok® SS-RTM4-F4-2, Rupture Disk Tee, 1/4 in. Male NPT-to-Female NPT, 2850 psig Burst Disk, 316L Stainless Steel
This Swagelok® Rupture Disc Tee has a 1/4" male NPT inlet and 1/4" Female NPT outlet and is rated for 2850 psig (+/- 150 psig at 22°C / 72°F).
These single-use rupture disc units are designed to rapidly vent sample cylinders or other equipment to atmosphere, providing pressure relief in the case of an overpressurization.
The Swagelok® rupture disc is welded to a body that is then threaded into a rupture disc Tee or valve body and sealed by an FKM O-ring. The disc can be replaced easily without removing the valve or tee from the system. Rupture disc replacements are available with a nominal burst pressure of either 1900 or 2850 psig.
Caution: Compressed gas
cylinders must be equipped with pressure relief devices in accordance
with CGA S-1.1, the definitive standard for the selection of the
correct pressure relief device required to meet the requirements of the
U.S. DOT in 49 CFR for over 150 gases.
- Be sure to use the correct pressure-relief device for the gas being used.
- Proper filling of cylinders according to DOT specifications, or other local regulations, is critical in preventing overpressurization.
