XY Stages (also referred to as XY Shifts) provide an essential correction function beneficial in performing sample transfer. XY stages permit up to +/- 1 of movement in both the X and Y axis directions. When used with a probe, the XY stage allows the probe location to shift while the probe angle remains unaffected.
