304 Stainless Steel Weldable Vacuum Standoffs for Optical Breadboards

These Ideal Spectroscopy precision-machined 304 stainless steel standoffs are designed to provide a reliable and repeatable mounting solution for installing vacuum-rated optical breadboards inside vacuum chambers.

Each standoff features a tapped 1/4"-20 thread, allowing secure attachment of the optical breadboard using standard socket head cap screws (SHCS) through the breadboard mounting holes. The standoffs can be temporarily positioned using vented 1/4"-20 fasteners, allowing accurate alignment before final installation.

Installation Process:

1. Attach the standoffs to the optical breadboard using vented fasteners.
2. Position the assembly inside the vacuum chamber.
3. Tack weld each standoff to the chamber wall in the desired location.
4. Remove the breadboard.
5. Complete the final TIG or laser weld around each standoff as required.

This installation method helps ensure that all mounting points are correctly aligned with the optical breadboard.
