This Swagelok® one-piece, on-off (2 way), straight, ball valve is made of Monel alloy 400/R-405. It is a low-torque, quarter-turn design and provides positive shutoff with up to 1000 psig (69 bar) pressure. This valve has Swagelok® 1/4" compression fittings for 1/4" OD tubing. It is part of the 40G series of valves.

Monel is a nickel alloy composed primarily of nickel and coppper with small amounts of iron, manganese, carbon and silicon. It has high strength at elevated temperatures (up to 1000 degrees C) and is stronger than pure nickel. Monel is highly rust and corrosion resistant to salts and acids. R-405 includes a small amount of sulpher which aids in it being machined. Monel is a registered trademarks of Special Metals Corporation.
